That´s my lovely tejido project that I just finished for class. It´s a little bigger than a placemat. I just started my next one which is gonna be pretty big – like the size of a refridgerator door minus the freezer part. haha. i went to this store in old town yesterday with some friends to buy yarn for my new one, and i picked up a color scheme that is pretty ridiculous. I call it:
¨Baby´s First Spring…at Dusk¨
I just laughed out loud typing that. I´m sorry that i am such a goofball. Maybe you had to be there…
Anyways, my dad is coming in two weeks! I´m pumped.
And…I´m also excited because today Kara and I are going to visit ¨Sus Niños¨, an orphanage close to our school that we are going to volunteer at weekly. I am really really looking forward to it. Ecuadorian kids are so much more lovable than American kids… don´t ask me why. They just are.
I knew today was gonna be a good day because I could see the volcano. Let me explain. Our bus ride to school is pretty long, like about an hour commute. 2 buses. The commute during the second bus takes us along a road that is probably full of the most beautiful views you´ve ever seen. Along the road there are certain spots where you can catch a glimpse of Cotopaxi, one of Ecuador´s amazing volcanoes. But most days, it´s not visible because of the clouds or what not. On the clear days when you can see it´s snow-capped peak, I look out the bus window and I don´t feel quite so annoyed to be on that bus with that maniac driver that hits the gas going DOWNhill with the smell of fumes gagging me. It´s all worth it.
Till next time!
